Green Tomato Chutney - Andhra Pachi Tomato Pachadi - Raw Tomato Chutney .

 Green Tomatoes are loaded with Antioxidants & it is Rich in Vitamin C & other Minerals. This Green Tomato chutney tastes Great with kara dosa, Pesarattu, Moong dal dosa , Sorakkai Dosa, Adai, idli & chapathi. Normally we make this Tomato Chutney, but this chutney tastes unique.

Green Tomato - 2.

Garlic - 3.

Green chillies - 3.

Sesame Seeds - 1 tsp.

Roasted Peanuts - 3 tbsp. 

Tamarind - Gems size.

Salt - as Needed.

oil - as Needed.

To Temper

Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp.

urad dal - 1 tsp.

curry leaves - 1 sprig.

hing  - Generous Pinch.


  • Remove the skin of Roasted Peanuts.

  • Chop the Green Tomato.

  •  Remove the skin of Garlic.


1.  Dry Roast a tsp of  sesame seeds, till it turns aromatic & it pops.

2. Heat the oil in the kadai, add 3 Garlic &  3 Green chillies.
3. Saute  till Green chillies turns Whitish.

4. Add 2 tomatoes, saute till it is lightly mushy & soft.

5. Then transfer it to mixie, add 3 tbsp of  Peanuts, Roasted sesame seeds, Gems size tamarind & salt.

6. Then grind it, into a smooth paste by adding little water.
7. Now chutney is Ready.

8. Heat the oil, add mustard seeds.When it splutters add urad dal. 
9. When urad dal turns Golden, add curry leaves & hing. Give a quick mix & pour over a chutney.


1. Adding Sesame seeds, gives extra crunchiness to chutney.

2. you can also add 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds, while tempering.
