Sorakkai Dosa - Bottlegourd Dosa - Sorakaya Dosa


Idli Rice - 2 Cups.
Sorakkai/Bottle Gourd  (Chopped) - 2 Cups.
Red Chillies - 5 - 6.
Curry leaves - 1 Sprig.
Salt - to taste.

  • Soak idli Rice for 4 hours.
  • Grind sorakkai, Red Chillies,Curry leaves & salt to a smooth paste.

  • Then add soaked idli Rice, with needed water & Grind into a smooth Paste.
  • The Consistency of batter be moderate.

  • Fermentation is not necessary. Start Making dosa's once you prepare the batter.
  • Heat the tawa,once it is hot, add ladle full of batter to the tawa ,first make outer circle then fill the dosa batter inwards, like we make Rava dosa.

  • Drizzle some oil. Once it  is cooked,flip the dosa.Remove from tawa when both sides are Cooked.
  • Serve hot with palm sugar or Honey or have it as such.

  • you can add chopped onions. chopped coriander leaves to dosa batter. 
  • you can add spluttered mustard seeds to the batter. it tastes Good.
