Sweet Corn Sundal Recipe - Sweet Corn Sundal



 Corn kernels - 3 cups.

water - as needed.

Coconut - 1/4 cup. (Grated)

salt - as needed.

Coriander leaves - For Garnishing.

To Temper

Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp.

Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp.

Red chillies - 2.(broken)

Green Chillies - 2.(slit) 

Urad dal - 1 tsp.

Curry leaves - 2 sprig.

Hing - a Generous pinch.


Remove the Corn kernels & boil it in a water for few minutes till it turns Soft.Then drain it in a colander & keep aside.


  • Heat the oil, add mustard seeds,when it splutters, add cumin seeds when it sizzles, add urad dal .
  • When dals turns Golden brown colour, add chillies & curryleaves. 

  • When chillies turns pale,add Cooked corn kernels.

  • Saute for few minutes till it moisture goes off.
  • Add Grated Coconut, mix well.

  • Garnish with Fresh Coriander Leaves.

  • Always Add Fresh Coconut for Good taste.
