Veg Fried Rice - Easy Fried Rice - Vegetable Fried Rice

Veg Fried Rice is an Steamed Rice, stir fried in a Wok, or kadai, and it is mixed with Vegetables, of your choice.Fried Rice is an Easy Lunch Recipe, that can be made in No time. It is one of the Popular Indo chinese Recipe.I made Paneer Mutter Masala as an accompaniment for this Fried Rice.

Basmathi Rice - 1 cup.
carrot - 1.
beans - 6.
Capsicum - 2 tbsp.
Garlic - 4.
Spring Onion White - 2 tbsp.(chopped)
spring onions Green - 2 tbsp.(Chopped)
Pepper Powder /Crushed Pepper - As Per taste.
Salt - As required.
Soya Sauce - 1 tsp.
oil - to fry & smear.

  • Soak the basmathi Rice, in a water, for minimum 30 minutes.
  • Chop the Veggies finely. So that veggies cooks faster & Easier.

  • Pressure cook the rice, for 2 whistles with 2 cups of water. Fluff with fork gently, smear a  tbsp of oil and allow it to cool completely.
  • Heat the oil in a kadai, add finely chopped Garlic, when it turns little golden brown, add Spring onions white part.

  • when spring onions turns translucent, add carrot and beans, saute till it shrinks and soft.Then add capsicum saute for 2 - 3 minutes, till it is soft.
  • Then add soya sauce, saute in a high flame  for 2 minutes, with continuous stirring.Then add cooked rice, salt and Pepper.Mix well.
  • Finally Garnish with Spring onions Green part, give a quick mix and switch off the flame.
  • Serve hot with any Paneer   gravies .
  • Adding Spring Onions Green part at the last, gives nice flavour to rice.
  • Chop the veggies finely for faster cooking.
  • You can even add mushrooms along with veggies.
  • Veg Fried Rice, goes very  well with Paneer  Gravies.
