EGGLESS BUTTERMILK PANCAKES -( LIGHT SPONGY FLUFFY) - EASY PANCAKES

Pancakes are popular American Breakfast recipe. This butter milk Pancakes are made with All Purpose flour, butter milk and baking powder. I had this Pancake when we went for IHOP Restaurant in near by home. it tasted awesome. it was a normal pancake. but i tried Eggless version,even it came out well as soft and fluffy. Bachelors and office Goers can try this Pancake at busy Mornings. you could prepare the batter in no time.

       These pancakes are often served with  butter or fruits of your choice or nuts of your choice, and served with honey or maple syrup or whipped cream. Fruits include bananas, berries like blue berry,strawberry, Raspberries, apples. nuts include cashews, almonds, pecans and walnuts.you could select the toppings based on your taste buds.




Eggless Butter Milk  Pancakes Recipe 

 Prep Time : 10 min.

 Cook Time :2 min per Pancake
 Serves: 2

Yields - 6 Pancakes.                         

  

Ingredients
All Purpose Flour - 1 cup.
Salt - 1/2 tsp.
Sugar - 1 tbsp.
Baking Powder - 1 tsp.
Baking soda - 1/4 tsp.
butter - 3 tbsp.
Butter Milk - 1 cup.
Vanilla Essence - 1 tsp.(optional)
Water - 2 tbsp.


Preparation

  • Take a Mixing bowl  add All Purpose Flour,salt,sugar,baking powder, baking soda mix well.

  •  Then take another vessel, add all  wet ingredients  add  butter milk, 2 tbsp of melted  butter,vanilla essence and water.mix Gently.Till it is light.Now pour this over another vessel which has All purpose flour Mixture(dry ingredients). Stir well. Till it gets thick batter consistency.

  • Heat the iron skillet or dosa pan, Grease with 1 tbsp of butter.  when the tawa  is hot, take a ladle full of batter and just pour it on tawa. don't spread it. it will spread on its own.cook it in a medium low flame.
  •  When pancakes gets golden brown colour, and also it gets holes on it. it is the right time to flip the pancake.

  • When both sides of pancakes are cooked, remove it from tawa.Serve hot.

 Notes
  • Cook the pancakes in a medium flame to get light pancakes, else it turns brown. 
  • Adding vanilla essence is optional, it just enhances little flavour of pancakes.
  • Serve with Toppings of your choice.
  • you could replace All purpose flour with Wheat flour.

Hi
Can I mix the batter and make the pancakes as and when required? Or should I make the pancakes as soon as the batter is mixed?
Can I pack pancakes for lunch box (do they taste good when cold)?

you should make the pancakes right after mixing the batter,or else it looses its fluffiness.ya you can take for lunch box. it tastes Good.

This is honestly my favorite homemade pancake recipe!! They almost remind me of the pancakes from McDonalds, at least they have a similar flavor, but are loads fluffier!! They melt right in my mouth.
