Gummadikaya Millet Dosa | Red Pumpkin Dosa | Parangikai varagu dosai


Idli Rice - 1 Cup.
kodo Millet  - 1/2 cup.
Urad dal - 1/4 cup
Gummadikaya/Red Pumpkin (Chopped) - 1.5  Cups.
Red Chillies - 6 - 7.
Curry leaves -   1 Sprig.
Salt - to taste.

  • Soak idli Rice,millets & urad dal together  for 4 hours or overnight.
  • Grind Red Pumpkin, Red Chillies, Curry leaves & salt to a smooth paste.

  • Then add soaked  Rice(idli Rice + Millets Rice) & urad dal , with needed water & Grind into a smooth Paste.
  • The Consistency of batter be moderate.

  • Fermentation is not necessary. Start Making dosa's once you prepare the batter.
  • Heat the tawa,once it is hot, add ladle full of batter & spread the dosa, like we make normal dosa.
  • Drizzle some oil. Once it  is cooked,flip the dosa.Remove from tawa when both sides are Cooked.
  • Serve hot with palm sugar or Honey or have it as such.
