Pottukadalai chutney - Putnala Pappu Chutney - Roasted Gram Chutney

Roasted Gram Chutney is an Easy Chutney Recipe,made with fried gram,Peanuts & chillies. This chutney  tastes Great with idli,dosa,Appam,Paniyaram & bonda. Roasted Gram is rich in dietary fiber & it is a protein booster which  helps in development of Good health.Bachelors,office Goers can make this chutney at busy mornings in No time.



Roasted Gram Chutney

Ingredients

Fried Gram - 1/2 cup.
Peanuts - 2 tsbp.
Red Chillies - 4.
Salt - to taste.
Curry leaves - 1 sprig.
Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp(chopped)

To temper

Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp.
urad dal - 1 tsp.
Hing - Generous Pinch.
curry leaves - 1 sprig.
oil - to fry.

Preparation

Remove the skin of Peanuts.


Method

Dry Grind Fried Gram,Peanuts,Red Chillies & salt into a powder. Then add curry leaves & coriander leaves, with needed water & grind it into a smooth Paste. Now chutney is Ready.




Heat the oil, add mustard seeds when it splutters add urad dal, curry leaves. When dal turns Golden brown colour add hing & switch off the flame. Pour the tempering over the chutney. Mix well & serve the chutney.

 Notes

  • Adding Peanuts gives nice taste to chutney.
  • you can add 1 tbsp of coconut while Grinding.
  • you can add 1 pearl onion, while  grinding the chutney.
