Brown Rice Dosa - Crispy Brown Rice Dosa

Brown Rice dosa is a Healthy dosa Variety made with Brown rice,Idli Rice & urad dal. The fiber content of brown rice keeps you feeling full for longer time.Brown rice is loaded with a significant amount of vitamins, minerals and phenolic components that are essential for strong immunity.Brown rice contains naturally occurring oils, which helps maintain healthy cholesterol levels in the body. Today we will learn to make Healthy Brown Rice dosa Recipe.

Brown Rice Dosa

 
Prep Time :  4 hours(Soaking time)
Cook Time : 3 - 4 minutes per dosa.

Ingredients
 
Brown Rice - 2 cups.
Urad dal - 1/4  cup.
Poha - 1/4 cup (Red Rice Poha or normal Poha)
fenugreek seeds - 1/2 tsp.
salt - As Needed.



Preparation


  • Wash and Soak  Brown Rice + urad dal + poha + fenugreek seeds together for 4 - 5  hrs or over night with needed water.
  • Then Grind everything into a smooth  thick Paste, in a mixie or Grinder by adding little water. 
  •  


    • Allow it to ferment for 7 to 8 hours or over night, depending upon the climatic conditions, if climate is chill more time is required to ferment.In such cases keep the container inside the oven it will get fermented quickly.
    • Once it fermented,  add 1/4 cup of water & bring it to spreadable dosa batter Consistency.
    Dosa Preparation

    •  Heat the tawa, when it is hot, take ladle full of batter & spread the dosa,like we make Normal dosa.Drizzle little oil over the dosa. when one side is cooked & turned little crisp, just flip the dosa.Remove dosa  from tawa when both sides are cooked.





    Notes 
    • Consistency of batter be Normal dosa batter Consistency.
    • I used Red Poha for healthy version, you can use Normal Poha also.
    • Adding Poha gives Cripsy Dosa's.
    • you can serve with any chutney or sambar of your choice.
