Raspberry Milkshake

Raspberry Milkshake is made with Raspberry, milk and Vanilla Icecream. We went for fruit picking in near by Garden. we picked Red raspberries. it was amazing to pick. Strawberry and blueberry picking got over and we had currents and Raspberries. We picked Raspberries.

   The vibrant red-coloured, exquisite and delicate raspberry is a powerhouse of innumerable health benefits. The fruit which is a rich source of nutrients, minerals and vitamins, when included in your daily diet can help lower risk of cancer, obesity, cardiovascular diseases and even enhance fertility.

Ingredients

Raspberry - 1 cup.
Milk - 1 cup.
Vanilla Icecream - 2 scoop.
sugar - as needed.





Method

  • In  a blender add Raspberries ,Milk, vanilla Icecream and sugar and blend into a smoothy,froth   Milkshake.
  • Garnish with Raspberries.(optional)

Notes

  • Instead of Raspberries you could add Raspberries  and Strawberries in equal proportions to make milkshake, which gives additional taste to shake.
  • You could also add bananas with Raspberries to make a shake.

Gobi Mutter Curry - Cauliflower Peas Curry - Cauliflower Sabzi

Cauliflower Curry is a simple curry recipe made with Cauliflower and Peas. It Goes well with rice,chapathi,roti and mild pulao's.It's high in anti-oxidants.Cauliflower has anti-inflammatory properties - Due to its high vitamin K content, cauliflower helps to reduce inflammation.high in fiber.Increased blood flow - Decrease chronic ailments such as atherosclerosis, a leading cause of heart attack and stroke.Several research on this flowery vegetable have revealed that it has compounds to resist cancer; it has the ability to eliminate cancer enzymes.Green peas are one of the most nutritious leguminous vegetables, rich in health benefiting phyto-nutrients, minerals, vitamins and anti-oxidants.


Went for Vegetable Picking in near by farm, picked Purple & White Cauliflower's and made this curry.it was an amazing experience.You get 4 types of cauliflowers here, they are Purple,Green, yellow and White. In this farm, we found White, purple and yellow. We picked White & purple.




Now we learn to make recipe.







Cauliflower curry

 Ingredients

Cauliflower big  - 1.
(I used purple and white small cauliflower's, you could use cauliflower's of any colour's)
Onion  big - 1.
tomatoes - 2.
Peas - 1/4 cup.
Chilli powder - 1 + 1/4 tsp.
Coriander Powder - 1/2 tsp.
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp.
Salt - for taste.
Turmeric - 1/8 tsp.
 Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp.
oil - to fry.
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp.
cilantro - for Garnishing.

Preparation
  •  Clean the cauliflower's and cut into small florets.
Method
  • Heat the oil, add mustard seeds,when it splutters add onions, Ginger garlic paste.
  • Saute till onions turns pink.Then add tomatoes, chilli powder, Garam masala, turmeric powder  coriander powder and salt.
  • Saute till tomatoes turns mushy.
  • Then add cauliflower florets, peas, cook it covered , till it is soft.saute now and then in a medium flame.(it take 20 - 22 minutes to cook).
  • Finally Garnish with fresh cilantro.

Bread upma Recipe - Easy Bread Upma Recipe - With step Wise Pictures

Bread Upma is a Easy & quick   bachelor recipe made with bread and Spice Powders. This upma can be prepared in Jiffy. This upma can be prepared with either brown or white bread. Bread when Coated with onion tomato mixture & spice powders,  will gives awesome taste.

Ingredients

Bread - 10.(White or Brown)
Onion(big) - 1.
Tomatoes - 2.
Chilli powder - 1 tsp.
turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp.
Coriander powder - 1/2  tsp.
Salt - as needed.
Ghee - 1 tsp.

To Temper

Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp.
urad dal - 1 tsp.
chana dal - 2 tsp.
curry leaves - 1 sprig.
Green chillies - 2.
Ginger - 1/2 inch. (Chopped finely)

 Preparation
  • Cut the bread slices into cubes.
  • Saute the bread slices, in a tsp of Ghee until it turns Golden brown here and there, and keep it aside.

Method
  • Heat the oil, add mustard seeds,when it splutters add chana dal,urad dal, Green chillies, curry leaves and Ginger.
  • When dal's turns golden brown colour, add onions, saute till onion's turns pink.

  • Then add tomatoes,chillipowder, coriander powder, turmeric powder  and salt.

  • When tomatoes turns mushy, add bread cubes.

  • Mix/toss  till the bread, gets evenly coated with masala.
  • Then serve hot.

Avalakki Chitranna - Lemon Poha - Atukula Pulihora

Atukula Puhlihora is made with Poha and lemon or tamarind.It is also called Avalakki Chitranna in Karnataka.It is a Simple bachelor recipe, made in no time. Poha or rice flakes has the capacity to absorb lots of water when it is soaked and when cooked it leaves your stomach feeling full.It is rice and therefore mainly starch and provides carbohydrates, which are essential for the body.if you are trying to lose weight, then eating poha or rice flakes often would not be ideal. In India, Ayurveda medicine values the lemon as a fruit and for its properties. It is sour, warm, promoter of gastric fire, light, good for vision, pungent and astringent.Experiments have found the juice of lemons destroy the bacteria of malaria, cholera, diphtheria, typhoid and other deadly diseases.Now we learn to make healthy lemon Aval.





Atukula Pulihora

 Prep Time : 5 min.
 Cook Time : 10 mins
 Serves: 2

 Ingredients needed

Poha - 2 cups
Lemon small - 2.
Green chillies -2.
Red chillies -2.
cilantro - for Garnishing.
ginger - 1/2 inch Grated


 For Seasoning

Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp.
chana dal - 2 tsp
urad dal - 1  tsp.
curry leaves - 1 sprig.
Peanuts - 3 tbsp.
oil - for fry.


Preparation


  • wash the poha two or three times, and drain the water completely and keep it aside for 10 - 15 minutes, till it becomes soft.
  • Squeeze the lemons in a cup and keep it aside.
Method
  •  Heat the oil,add mustard seeds when it Splutters  add chana dal, urad dal, curry leaves, red chillies, Green chillies curry leaves  Ginger, peanuts  and turmeric .


  • When dal's turns golden brown colour add Poha, and salt. saute for 2 minutes, till everything combines.

  • Now switch off the flame, then add lemon juice, mix well. Garnish with fresh cilantro. Then serve hot.

Ingredients

Apple (big) - 1.
Vanilla icecream - 2 scoops.
Sugar - 1 tbsp.
Cold Milk - 1 + 1/2 cup

Preparation

Peel the apple and cut it into cubes.

Method

  • In a blender add apple cubes,vanilla icecream, sugar and milk, grind it into a smooth paste.serve cold.


  • Top with nuts of your choice.I used almond flakes to top it.

Semiya Payasam - Easy Semiya Kheer Recipe - Vermicilli Kheer Recipe

Semiya Payasam is a Simple and Easy South Indian  Payasam Recipe made with Vermicilli Roasted in Ghee, and simmered with Milk and Sweetened with Sugar,garnished with Cashews and raisins. Made during Festive occasions like Tamil and Telugu Newyear, Onam Sandhya,deepavali,krishna Jayanthi   and  also if Guest Arrives our home.




Ingredients

Semiya/Vermicilli - 1/2 cup.
Milk - 2 cup.
Sugar - 1/2 cup.
Water - 1 cup.
Cashews - 15.
Raisins - 10.
Ghee - 2 tsp.

Preparation

  •  Heat the Ghee in a pan/kadai(thick bottomed) , when it is hot add Cashews suate till it turns lightly golden brown colour, then add raisins , when raisins pops remove both of it from pan.
Method
  • In a same pan, add Semiya/Vermicilli and roast till it turns golden brown colour, and you get good smell of semiya.

  • Add 1 cup of water to it. Let it cook for 4- 5 minutes, till it is soft.Then add sugar mix well.

  • Then add  2 cups of evaporated milk and when it boiled once, switch off the flame.
  • Once it cools down, it becomes thicker and creamy.

  • Finally Garnish with Cashews and Raisins.
Notes

  • Adding Elachi is optional, you could crush one elachi and add it, after adding milk.
  • For richer version add 3 tbsp of condensed milk to it.
  • You can have it hot or cold depending on your taste buds.
